Seven NVIDIA production modules are listed with the 699-pin B2B (100x87mm) form factor: three Jetson AGX Orin, three Jetson AGX Xavier and the IGX T5000. Sharing the connector doesn't guarantee the module will work on your carrier, though. Which interfaces work depends on the module, so check the caveats below before you design a module in.

Jetson Thor modules (T5000 / T4000)
- The catalog doesn't list a form factor for the Jetson AGX Thor T5000 or the Jetson T4000, so I can't confirm their connector from that source. developer... +1developer.nvidia.com ↗“Jetson AGX Thor T5000”developer.nvidia.com ↗“Jetson T4000”
- Partner documents do show them sharing a connector with AGX Orin:
- PLink-AI's Y-C28 carrier lists module parameters for T5000, T4000 and AGX Orin 64GB/32GB/Industrial on the same board. plink-ai.complink-ai.com ↗“AdaptationJetson AGX ORIN 64G/32G AGX ORIN I Module parameters”
- Connect Tech's AGX Orin system mates the module "via Molex Mirror Mezz 699 pin connector". connecttec...connecttech.com ↗“via Molex Mirror Mezz 699 pin connector”
- Connect Tech's Thor carrier also uses a Molex Mirror Mezz connector (part number 203456-0003). It supports the T5000, the T4000 and the IGX Thor 500, the last only without its SMCU. connecttec... +1connecttech.com ↗“Molex Mirror Mezz™ Connector”connecttech.com ↗“NVIDIA® Jetson Thor™ T5000/T4000/ NVIDIA® IGX Thor™ 500 (no SMCU)”
Same connector, different interfaces
These partner carriers show that what's available on the connector changes with the module:
- On the Y-C28, an AGX Orin module can't use the M.2 Key M or MGBE expansion connectors, or CAN0 and CAN1. With a T4000, none of CAN0–CAN3 work. plink-ai.com +1plink-ai.com ↗“When paired with AGX ORIN 64/32G or AGX ORIN Industrial Edition, this interface cannot be used”plink-ai.com ↗“When paired with the Jetson AGX T4000 module”
- On Connect Tech's Thor carrier, a T4000 gets one 10GBASE-T port instead of two, and no CAN. connecttec... +1connecttech.com ↗“The T4000 module supports 1x 10G Ethernet via 10G-1”connecttech.com ↗“The CAN interface is not supported by the T4000 module.”
- Power needs vary widely, from 10–30 W for AGX Xavier up to 40–130 W for IGX T5000. Your carrier's power design has to cover the module you choose. developer... +1developer.nvidia.com ↗“power.power_envelope=10-30”nvidia.com ↗“power.power_envelope=40-130 W”
What I couldn't confirm:
- Whether AGX Xavier modules work electrically on an AGX Orin carrier, or the reverse. All I verified is that they share the form factor.
- The connector for the T5000 and T4000 from NVIDIA's own module data, since the catalog doesn't list it.
For your board, check the pinout in the NVIDIA module datasheet and the OEM design guide for each module you plan to support.
