The Jetson Orin Nano 4GB is the only Jetson production module that has Tensor Cores and tops out at 10 W or less. It runs at 7–10 W in its default mode and has 16 Tensor Cores. nvidia.com +1nvidia.com ↗“power.power_envelope=7-10 W”nvidia.com ↗“compute.tensor_cores=16”
Production modules with a maximum power envelope of 10 W or less nvidia.com +1nvidia.com ↗“power.power_envelope=7-10 W”developer.nvidia.com ↗“power.power_envelope=5-10 W”
| Module | Power envelope (default) | Tensor Cores | Meets your requirement? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jetson Orin Nano 4GB | 7–10 W | 16 | Yes |
| Jetson Nano | 5–10 W | 0 | No (no Tensor Cores) |
Things to check for a 10 W sealed camera:
- Don't use Super mode. In Super mode the Orin Nano 4GB's envelope goes up to 7–25 W, which is over your limit. The 10 W ceiling holds only in default mode. nvidia.comnvidia.com ↗“power.power_envelope_super=7-25 W”
- Performance in default mode: 20 TOPS (INT8, sparse) from 512 CUDA cores, a 6-core Cortex-A78AE CPU and 4 GB of LPDDR5 memory. nvidia.com +1nvidia.com ↗“performance.max_ai_tops=20 TOPS”nvidia.com ↗“512 CUDA + 16 Tensor cores, 6-core Cortex-A78AE, 4GB LPDDR5”
- Size: it's a 260-pin SO-DIMM module (69.6 x 45 mm), which may suit a compact enclosure. nvidia.comnvidia.com ↗“260-pin SO-DIMM (69.6x45mm)”
- Modules that just miss: The Jetson Orin Nano 8GB (7–15 W) and the Orin NX, Xavier NX and TX2 modules (all 15 W or more at the top end) have Tensor Cores but go over 10 W at maximum. nvidia.comnvidia.com ↗“power.power_envelope=7-15 W”
The catalog doesn't list an operating temperature range for the Orin Nano 4GB. In a sealed housing with no airflow, check the cooling design separately.
