Yes. I found three carrier boards for the Jetson TX2/TX2i that weigh under 40 g. The lightest is the Connect Tech Sprocket at 28 g.

How they differ for a small UAV:
- Sprocket is the lightest and flattest. Connect Tech calls it its smallest, lowest-profile carrier. All its parts sit on one side, under the module. It has 1x USB OTG, one MIPI CSI-2 input, 2x 3.3V UART, I2C and 4 GPIO. It has no HDMI, CAN, mini-PCIe or SD card slot. The -40 to 85 °C range is for the board only. Connect Tech notes that the TX2 module itself is rated -25 °C to +80 °C, measured at the thermal heat plate. connecttec... +3connecttech.com ↗“CTI''s smallest, lowest-profile 87 x 50 mm carrier”connecttech.com ↗“single-sided with all parts under the module”connecttech.com ↗“io.hdmi=False”connecttech.com ↗“The Jetson TX2 Module is rated for -25°C to +80°C”
- RTSO-9002U gives you more connections for 4 g more: HDMI, a mini-PCIe slot, a SIM slot, a microSD slot, 3 serial ports and 2 CAN ports. Its wider 7–19 V input may also be easier to power from a drone battery. realtimesa... +1realtimesai.com ↗“io.mpcie_slot_count=1”realtimesai.com ↗“io.serial_port_count=3”
- RTSO-9002 has the same connections as the 9002U and is slightly shorter (87 mm vs 89 mm), but it weighs 38.7 g, just under your limit. realtimesa...realtimesai.com ↗“mechanical.weight_g=38.7 g”
There may be other lightweight TX2 carriers too. More than 100 of the TX2-compatible carrier boards we list have no weight published, so I couldn't check them against your 40 g limit.
You can find more on the Sprocket product page and datasheet, and on the RTSO-9002U and RTSO-9002 pages.
