For roadside traffic analytics on a pole with no fiber, which smart cameras have built-in 5G cellular?

Question

Rapidflare · Accepted Answer

Two smart cameras have built-in 5G: the **YUAN High-Tech EYE6N0-S678** and the **EverFocus SNA-Series**. Both are IP66-rated.

**Smart cameras with 5G cellular**

| | EYE6N0-S678 (YUAN High-Tech) | SNA-Series (EverFocus) |
|---|---|---|
| Cellular | 5G | 5G |
| Wi-Fi/BT | Yes | Yes |
| GNSS/GPS | Not listed | Yes |
| IP rating | IP66 | IP66 (also IK10) |
| Operating temperature | -20 to 50 °C | -20 to 50 °C |
| Power input | 12–24 V | PoE++ (IEEE 802.3bt) or 9–48 V DC |
| Jetson module | Orin NX | Orin Nano / Orin NX |
| AI performance (INT8, sparse) | 100 TOPS default / 157 TOPS Super | 100 TOPS default / 157 TOPS Super |

**What matters for a pole with no fiber:**
- **EverFocus SNA-Series:** It can run on PoE++ or 9–48 V DC, and it has GNSS. EverFocus lists it as a preliminary product, so check that it's available before you plan a deployment.
- **YUAN EYE6N0-S678:** It uses a fan for cooling. It also has three M.2 slots, including a B-key 3052 slot.
- **Temperature limit for both:** They're rated to 50 °C maximum. On a sun-exposed roadside pole, that limit could matter.

**Other 5G devices to consider**

These aren't filed as smart cameras, but they may still fit your project:
- **RAD ROSA (Safety & Security Devices):** A 5G edge AI camera unit with two PTZ cameras. It can be wall- or pole-mounted and runs on a Jetson Orin NX 16GB. It needs 100–240 V AC mains power and is rated -15 to 50 °C.
- **Traffic & Smart City Devices:**
- The Miovision Scout Plus has cellular, but it's 4G/LTE, not 5G.
  - No cellular capability is listed for the Ouster BlueCity.

**About the other smart cameras:** Of the 22 smart cameras, 20 have no cellular capability listed. That means it's unknown for them, not ruled out.
