The NEON-2000-JNX comes out ahead on all three points: 8 digital I/O channels (4 of them inputs) and a 55 °C maximum operating temperature. The ICAM-540-3CN has 3 channels (2 inputs) and a 45 °C maximum.

| Min operating temp | 0 °C | 0 °C |
What to check for a hot line:
- The NEON-2000-JNX's 55 °C limit isn't the same for every model. ADLINK says the temperature range depends on the SKU or module, so check the exact version in the datasheet before you rely on 55 °C. adlinktech...adlinktech.com ↗“thermal.operating_temp_condition=Depends on SKU or module”
- The ICAM-540-3CN tops out at 45 °C. If the air around the line gets hotter than that, it's outside the stated range. advantech...advantech.com ↗“thermal.max_operating_temp_c=45 °C”
- The NEON-2000-JNX is listed as end-of-life (EOL), and the ICAM-540-3CN as Active. That may matter if you're buying for a new deployment. adlinktech... +1adlinktech.com ↗“identity.lifecycle_status=EOL”advantech.com ↗“identity.lifecycle_status=Active”
